The leaks show that the third game in this trilogy, Shadow of the Tomb Raider that is the sequel to Rise of the Tomb Raider, which was an action-adventure video game developed by Crystal Dynamics and published by Square Enix, is well into production. It was the expectation after the success of the first two titles in this reboot, but the silence from the production companies was making fans worry. The others thing that was slightly worrying was the loss of head writer, Rhianna Pratchett earlier this year which can’t be a good thing. In terms of a release date, we can only speculate as we said earlier. Companies tend to try and get games to be released at the same time the potential movie is coming out which is March 2018 and this could be the case here too. Tomb Raider starring Alicia Vikander is out March 2018 which could be a good time for a game release date too.

The new Shadow of the Tomb Raider is already making headlines by the leaked sketches and many rumors. If we want to Cut to the chase and start casting some lights on the leaks and rumors we start from the fact that it is to be continuing to be the sequel to Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider, it is thought to be out Early 2018 maybe, Shadow of the Tomb Raider developers: Crystal Dynamics…or Eidos Montreal and SOTTR publisher: Square Enix.  The mentioned release date above comes from a quote in Official PlayStation Magazine: “Rumor squirrels tell us Shadow of the Tomb Raider could be released early in 2018.”  But the game was not presented in E3 2017, according to a Facebook post from Meagan Marine, the Senior Community Manager for Tomb Raider, who said “This will be a quiet E3 for Lara, but we’re looking forward to catching up on her new adventure later this year.” We did not see Lara at E3 2017 but the Lara Croft fans can not wait to see some trailers, details and more soon afterwards. Especially now that the new Tomb Raider Movies is becoming a hit and making headlines. One of the resone that it makes sense to have the new version in early 2018 is the movie, it will make the Tomb raider fans exited and revives the feelings and then the new tittle will be announces, but after all it is all guesstimations and the fans should just wait a bit longer.

What has been leaked: The title, and other snippets of information about the visual sketches, were leaked in November last year, The title on the slides of a presentation power point show, “Shadow of the Tomb Raider”, is now assumed to be the name of the game. But, this presentation was seen on the Montreal subway not California where the main developer of the last two Tomb Raider games, Crystal Dynamics, is based. Could this mean that Eidos Montreal is taking the reins on this one? Well many sources actually think so!  Now that Enix pushed its announcement further into late 2017. Thanks to a recent Instagram posts, it seems we are getting closer to Shadow of the Tomb Raider official announcement. Square Enix shared an image of Lara Croft looking to the horizon at her “next adventure.”
