7nm AMD Ryzen ‘Matisse’ to Destroy Intel CPUs? | Latest Info

Ryzen Matisse is Going to be World’s Fist 7nm CPU

AMD recently held their CES 2019 keynote in which they revealed their next-gen 7nm gaming CPUs and GPUs. Radeon VII wasn’t all that it was hyped up to be and it wasn’t anything to write home about but, it seems like that is going to change with AMD Ryzen Matisse. A lot of rumors have been going around suggesting that AMD Ryzen Matisse is going to pack some serious heat and it seems like these rumors aren’t going to be completely false.

Official Ryzen Matisse Info

AMD has revealed Cinebench R15 scores for their Ryzen 3rd-gen CPUs and it seems like Matisse will be able to compete and most likely surpass the Core I9-9900k. AMD revealed that their 3rd-gen Matisse CPU was able to get 2023 on Cinebench R15. Of course, AMD hasn’t finalized the clock speed yet so expect to see a higher score when Matisse is finally released. For comparison, the Intel Core I9-9900k (a $500 CPU) scored 2032 on Cinebench. Both tests were supposedly run on identical systems. Right now, we don’t know exactly which Matisse CPU got this score in Cinebench but, if the rumors are true then you can get this kind of performance out of a $330 CPU.

We also know that AMD Ryzen Matisse uses a lot less power than the Intel Core I9-9900k. According to AMD, while the CPUs were being tested in Cinebench R15 the I9-9900k system used 180w of power while the Matisse system only used 130-132w. This means that AMD can easily push the card to much higher clock speeds without getting high temps.

AMD Matisse Latest Leaks

Remember these rumors have a high chance of being somewhat or completely false. All of the AMD Navi leaks were fake so we can’t rely on these leaks that much.

Thanks to the latest leaks we know that AMD Matisse is going to start at $99 and go all the way up to $499. If these leaks are true Intel doesn’t stand a chance as a $100 Ryzen 3 3300 CPU will feature 6 cores and 12 threads and it will have a boost of 4GHz. The $330 Ryzen 7 3700X is going to be able to compete with Intel’s $500 Core I9-9900k CPU. It seems like AMD is going to be able to beat Intel in the high-end,mid-end, and low-end gaming CPU market.
