AMD was said to show off their 7nm AMD Zen 2 CPU series at CES 2019 but, we didn’t get a lot of info about it. AMD didn’t really give us much information about AMD Zen 2. We didn’t get any official specs list or an official release date. Although we don’t have a lot of official info, a lot of rumors have been suggesting that AMD Ryzen Matisse is going to be very powerful.

Zen 2 Official Benchmark

Although we don’t have a specs list for Zen 2 or a release date, AMD has released Zen 2 Cinebench R15 scores. AMD revealed that their next-gen 7nm AMD Matisse CPU got 2023 on Cinebench R15. Of course, these scores aren’t with finalized clocks so, we will probably get far better scores when Zen 2 is finally released. For comparison, the Intel Core I9-9900k got  2032 on Cinebench R15. We also know that the Zen 2 used in this benchmark uses far less power than the Core I9-9900k. Both CPUs were supposedly tested on identical systems and the I9-9900k used 180w of power while Matisse only used 130-132w of power. 

AMD Zen 2 Latest Leaks and Rumors

You should keep in mind that these rumors have a chance of being completely false or completely right. 

Thanks to the latest leaks from credible sources on the internet, we know that the cheapest Zen 2 CPU will start at $99 and it will cost up to $499. The cheapest Zen 2 CPU, the Ryzen 3 3300 is going to feature 6 cores, 12 threads, and a boost clock of 4 GHz. It will have a TDP of 50w. The high-end Zen 2 Processor, the Ryzen 9 3850x is going to feature 16 cores, 32 threads, and a boost clock of 5.1 GHz. The Ryzen 9 3850x is going to cost you $499.
