The Holidays are very important for game developers because it’s the only week that they sell so many copies of their games and consoles. Thanks to ukie know how well games did in the UK. The Holidays in the UK was very good for Activision. Call of Duty WW2 ended 2017 with the #1 spot in the sale charts. Call of Duty WW2 has reached the most consecutive weeks that a COD game has been at number 1. Call Of Duty Moder Warfare 2 has set this record. It seems like COD WW2 will bypass Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s record because there is no sign of slowing down. If COD WW2 stays as number 1 for 2 more weeks it will break the total number of a COD game at the #1 spot. COD Black Ops 3 holds this record with 11 weeks as the #1 game. 

The full sale list is #1 Call of Duty: WWII, #2 Fifa 18, #3 Star Wars Battlefront II, #4 Assassin’s Creed Origins, #5 GTA V, #6 Super Mario Odyssey, #7 The Sims 4, #8 Gran Turismo #9 Sport, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and at the #10 spot The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Remember these are only physical sale numbers. Like every week GTA V is doing very well that’s not surprising for a GTA game but compared to other games that’s really good considering that GTA V was released back in 2013. The last week 0f 2017 in the UK was a very good week for EA as FIFA 18, Battlefront 2, and Assassin’s Creed Origins were all in the top 5. The Battlefront 2 sales were very surprising after all the criticism and controversy that Battlefront 2 got because of it’s loot boxes and pay to win system. In the UK Soccer or Football is very popular so it’s no surprise that Fifa 18 is at the #2 spot. The Xbox One version of Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds dropped out of the top 10 for the first time since it launched to the #11 spot.
