Rocket League reaches a huge player milestone
Rocket League has been doing very well
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has been all the talk this year but it wasn’t the only indie game that did extremely well in 2017. Although Rocket League hasn’t had a lot of talk in 2017 it was one of the indie games that did very well in 2017. When Rocket League came out it was very popular but now we haven’t heard a lot about it but it turns out it was doing very well even though not many people were talking about it. Rocket League continues to ride high.
Rocket League Tweeted, “Rocket League now has 40 MILLION players worldwide! Thank you to our ever-growing community for helping us start the new year with such a fantastic milestone.” 40 million players is very good but unfortunately, that’s not the whole story. The 40 million players that they say they have doesn’t mean that they sold 40 million copies of Rocket League. Psyonix also counts all players that played in split screen as an individual player. So the sale numbers might be far less than the 40 million players reported by Psyonix. Unfortunately, Psyonix hasn’t yet announced the Rocket League sale numbers. Rocket League was released in July 2015 for the PS 4 and PC and it was released on the Xbox One at February February 17. Rocket League was recently released for the Nintendo Switch on Nov 14, 2017. Right now Rocket League has a 9.3 on IGN, 86% on Metacritic, and 9/10 on GameSpot. Rocket League is one of the few PC gamers that are available on the Mac and Linux. Right now you can get Rocket League for only $11.99 (original $19.99) at Steam thanks to the Steam Winter sale. Rocket League game of the year edition is on sale too you can get it for $14.99 from Steam (original $24.99). In Rocket League 2 teams get to compete and use rocket vehicles to shoot a soccer ball into a goal.
