Nvidia wants retailers to stop selling GPU’s to miners
Nvidia doesn’t want to sell GPU’s to miners
Gamers don’t like miners because of many reasons and one of the main ones is the fact that they cause GPU prices to skyrocket. Especially high-end Graphics Cards. GPUS have been out of stock for a long time. Nvidia has been having a big Nvidia shortage for a very long time. Well, Nvidia has reportedly asked retailers to stop selling their Graphics cards to miners and that is very good news for many gamers around the world.
Nvidia is trying to resolve this issue by selling graphics cards in their own online store so that is good news and they are doing another thing. Nvidia is asking retailers to limit the number of Graphic cards people can buy by 2 Graphics cards per person. In a response to computerbase.de (translated from German to English), Nvidia said, “For NVIDIA, gamers come first. All activities related to our GeForce product line are targeted at our main audience. To ensure that GeForce gamers continue to have good GeForce graphics card availability in the current situation, we recommend that our trading partners make the appropriate arrangements to meet gamers’ needs as usual.” This response made gamers all around the world very happy. Right now on Amazon, all GTX 1080s are out of stock and if you want to buy one you will have to pay at least $900 even though the GTX 1080 is supposed to cost only $549.99. Most other Nvidia Graphic cards are out of stock and if you need to buy them you will have to pay $200 to $100 more.
Crypto mining became a really big thing in 2017. Many people earn a very good amount of money from it but to do that you will need more than 1 or 2 graphics cards. You can find computers that are specifically built for crypto mining. So many people buy 8 or 9 graphics cards at one time so Nvidia keeps running out of stock and they will definitely want gamers to get their hands on the GPUS. Most gamers don’t need more than 2 Graphic cards because there aren’t many gamers that can support more than 2 GPUS.
