Star Wars Battlefront II has been out for a while now but since the first days that gamers got their hands on it, the game has received a lot of hate in the gaming community because of the pay to win system. If you didn’t know Star Wars Battlefront II hasn’t been doing very well. When gamers got access to the game it received a lot of negative attention. Gamers were able to buy new star cards by using real money. Essentially a player that uses microtransactions but has been playing for only one day could beat a player that has been playing for a few months. Star Cards give players big advantages. After a lot of hate from the gaming community, EA removed microtransactions from Battlefront II and promised that they will return but the problems will be fixed.
Right now you can’t get any advantages by using microtransactions. The new update has returned microtransactions to Battlefront II. Crystals have returned to Battlefront II once again but now you can’t use them to buy heroes or star cards. EA wrote in a blog post, “Crystals will return to Star Wars Battlefront II as one of the ways for fans to unlock Appearances, including Endor Leia and Endor Han. Real-world currency can only be used to purchase Crystals, which are only redeemable for Appearances.” This isn’t the best thing to happen considering that Battlefront II costs $59.99 but it is better than the pay to win system that was implemented when the game launched.
EA is also introducing a limited time mode to Battlefront II Ewok Hunt. In Ewok Hunt you either start as a Storm Trooper or an Ewok. Ewok’s are supposed to use Spears to ambush and kill all of the Storm Troopers. Each Stroom Tropper that is killed will spawn as an Ewok. If all Stroom Troopers win the Ewoks will win the match. The Stroom Troopers are supposed to hold back the Ewok ambush with their superior weapons until the extraction team arrives.
