The Xbox One X is the most powerful console of all time and for the first time in a long time, the Xbox One X’s specs is like a modern PC. Thanks to all of the optimizations that developers do on consoles the Xbox One X is able to play many triple-A games at 4k 30 FPS. That’s a very good achievement considering that the Xbox One X costs only $499. Right now even a $500 PC can’t play games at 4k 30 FPS especially because of the graphics card price increase. Many gamers play on monitors and some play on monitors with 120Hz refresh rate. Right now all consoles support up to 60Hz but in May the Xbox One X is going to be the first console with 120Hz support.
In a blog post, Microsoft wrote,”In May, we’re adding support for additional panel refresh rates. Gamers with gaming monitors and televisions that support a 120Hz refresh rate can now turn on 120Hz support for 1080p and 1440p output resolutions. This high refresh rate option means you can now take full advantage of displays with 120Hz capabilities.” This is a good feature and in the future, many Xbox One X games will probably get a 120 FPS mode for people that have a display that supports 120Hz.
Microsoft is also adding a new way for players to organize their games. Microsoft is adding a new feature to pins in the Xbox One called groups. With the new feature, gamers can create “collections” of games and apps basically folders. You can also assign names to the groups. The groups will be shown in my games and apps menu. You can trim your recent game captures from the guide menu. Microsoft has also improved family sharing. A new page called details is going to be added to the settings. In this page, parents will be able to see and manage all family settings on the Xbox.
