Laptop gaming has been getting better and better over the years and this year we have been seen many crazy laptops. We saw a laptop with two GTX 1080s running at SLI but it wasn’t really a Laptop as it was too big to easily carry around. Unfortunately, if you want performance on a Laptop you will have to sacrifice portability. If you have a budget of $3700 and willing to sacrifice portability for power the Asus ROG G703GI is the perfect Laptop for you.

Tech Youtuber Linus Tech Tips recently showcased the capabilities of the ROG G703GI in a YouTube video. First of all the Laptop weighs a staggering 4.7 KG and it is 5.1 CM thick. You might be wondering why the Laptop is so thick considering that it has one GPU well, the CPU goes up to a staggering 160 watts. The laptop also comes with two power supplies for charging and it has a full-sized keyboard.

Since it is a laptop when the CPUs are running at 4.8 GHz the fans start running at crazy speeds and it gets pretty loud. During the Cinebench benchmark taken by Linus the Laptop reached a maximum of 99 C and the speed fell to 4.3 GHz. If you know PCs you would know that a Laptop that is reaching 99 C while running at 4.8 GHz wouldn’t be able to be overclocked to 5 GHz. So Linus and his crew place liquid metal on the CPU. After doing that they are able to overclock the I9 to a staggering 5 GHz and got a score of 1494 on Cinebench. But even with liquid metal, the CPU was still throttling. After opening up the laptop and adding an extra fan to it they were able to get the laptop to stay at 5 GHz with no throttling.
