NEW BENCHMARK LEAKS, GTX 1180 or GTX 2080 TI, NVIDIA NEXT GPU Benchmarks Leaked!

A listing in Ashes of the Singularity benchmark database (via TUM APISAK) may have leaked the next-gen flagship high-end GPUs for the GeForce GTX family. (wccftech.com)

As it is reported, the benchmark was posted by the user “Nagato” who has no playtime in the game itself so I would say he’s a tester than a gamer. The user tested the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 2080 Ti graphics card that is clearly mentioned in the hardware configuration. The chip was tested with a Core i7-7700K CPU which is good enough for gaming. The interesting part is that the card is listed as a special delivery for GSS an unusual naming attached to a Geforce card. NVIDIA had special CEO edition Titan V’s to the top AI researchers. NVIDIA may have set a custom device id for this graphics card. And after all this leak may be for the next AI and computing GPU not a gaming GPU. Difference between the Low (1080p) and Crazy (1080p) preset on DirectX 11 API, you’d note that the performance is nearly identical. this may not exactly be how a gaming gpu performs. Soon more will be clear while we are getting closer to the date Nvidia is tought to be revealing the  gtx 1180 version as it has been mentioned in many leaks and rumors.

GTX 1180

According to recent rumors, the GTX 1180 is going to have 3584 Cuda Cores, 16GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. For comparison, the Nvidia Titan XP features 3840 Cuda Cores, 96 ROPs, 1582 MHz Boost Clock, 1481 MHz Core Clock, 12.1 Tflops, 11.4Gbps GDDR5X, and 12 GB of VRAM. If the GTX 1180 does feature these specs then it will be one of the strongest GPUs of all time especially when you compare the price to other GPUs and specs. On the AMD side is the Radeon RX 580. The RX 580 features 1340 MHz Boost Clock, 5,788 GFLOPS, 8 GB VRAM, and 256 GB/S Memory Bandwidth. If AMD doesn’t release a new GPU which they will probably do sometime this summer. The RX 580 is no competition for the Nvidia GTX 1180. The GTX 1180 will likely be able to play every game at 4k high to ultra settings at 60FPS.
