The NES Classic Edition was Able to Beat the PS 4 and Xbox One in Hardware Sales
The NES Classic Edition is Doing Really Well
One of Nintendo’s most successful consoles the NES was brought back to the modern times with the NES Classic Edition. Nintendo discontinued the NES Classic Edition after a short time that it came out which caused the disappointment of many gamers who couldn’t get their hands on it as it was out of stock everywhere. It was impossible to find the NES Classic Edition, so you either had to buy one for a lot more money or wait until you get lucky. Nintendo did announce that it is going to be brought back in 2018 and that turned out to be true. Nintendo brought it back again, and it was definitely worth it for Nintendo as the console has been selling like crazy.
The NES Classic Edition was the top-selling console in terms of hardware sales in June even bypassing the Nintendo Switch. “All current-generation platforms delivered sales growth,” NPD analyst Mat Piscatella said. “Gains were driven by Fortnite, promotions around the E3 period, and reinvigorated distribution of the NES Classic, among other factors.”
This doesn’t mean that the other consoles are starting to slow down. Xbox One’s hardware sales nearly doubled in June 2018 when compared to June 2018, and Nintendo Switch sales improved more than %50. The PS 4 also sold better than this time last year, so you can say that it was a good month for everyone.
The NES Classic Edition is a smaller remake of the infamous NES console that came out in 1983. This version of the console comes pre-loaded with thirty of the consoles most famous video games and one traditional NES controller. The games include Super Mario Bros, Donkey Kong, Zelda, Pac-Man, and Metroid. You can pick one up right now for only $59.99 from Amazon.
