This is Everything we Know About Kingdom Hearts III

Kingdom Hearts III is the 12th installment in the long-running Kingdom Hearts series. Kingdom Hearts III is a sequel to Kingdom Hearts II. The player follows Sora and a bunch of other Disney characters in their search for the seven Guardians of Light and the “Key to Return Hearts”.

What’s the Setting of the Game?

The game features many new worlds with most of Disney’s properties being new to the infamous series. Some of the new worlds from Disney include the Kingdom of Corona from Tangled, San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6, Toy Box from Toy Story, and Monstropolis from Monsters Inc. Many worlds will also be returning to the game including Olympus from Hercules, The Caribbean from the Pirates of the Caribbean, and Destiny Islands. The Big Hero 6 and Toy Story worlds are going to feature a brand new story, Big Hero 6’s story will be set after the events of the movie and Toy Storie’s world will be set between the third and second Toy Story movie. 

What Characters will be in the Game?

Sora is going to return as the protagonist in the game with many other supporting characters from older games in the series. Many Disney characters will accompany Sora in his adventures including Hercules, Jack Sparrow, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Rapunzel. Some villains will be in the game as well including Hades, Davy Jones, and Randall Boggs. Almost every popular Disney character will be featured in the game. 

What’s the Story?

Following the story from Dream Drop Distance, Sora, Donald, and Goofy try to find seven guardians of light and the “Key to Return Hearts” with  King Mickey and Riku looking for previous  Keyblade wielders. They are doing this to attempt to stop Master Xehanort’s plan to balance the light and darkness which could cause the last showdown between Sora and Master Xehanort. The story is going pick up imidietly after the events of Dream Drop Distance. Kingdom Hearts III will be the last chapter in the Dark Seeker/Xehanort saga.

When is it Coming Out?

Kingdom Hearts III is going to be released for the PS 4 and Xbox One on January 29, 2019. Right now you can pre-order the game for $59.99.
