One of Sweden’s largest banks has initiated large positions in AMD. It doesn’t seem to be a case of bargain-shopping, either. All the stocks it bought are sporting year-to-date gains.
Swedbank disclosed Thursday in a regulatory filing that as of Sept. 30 it owned $152.8 million in Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) stock, $110.6 million in Seagate Technology (STX) shares, $175.0 million in shares of Best Buy (BBY), and $198.3 million in Target (TGT) stock.
These shares were all bought by Swedbank during the third quarter; it owned none of these stocks at the end of the second quarter, according to a report the bank made to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Swedbank didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment. Barrons
