AMD 7nm Zen 2 vs 10nm Intel CPU | Will AMD be Able to Top Intel in Gaming?

AMD Zen 2 is Going to be Announced in a Few Weeks

Right now Intel controls most of the PC gaming market as they perform a lot better than AMD CPUs. Although Intel CPUs have a lower core count then AMD CPUs around the same price point, Intel still does better in terms of gaming performance. AMD is going to release the worlds first 7nm CPU series really soon and Intel’s 10nm CPUs are going to be released in the first half or second half of 2019. Seeing as they are both coming out at the same time, you have to wonder, will AMD finally be able to top Intel in the gaming market?

AMD Zen 2 Latest Leaks and Rumors

Unfortunatly, there aren’t a lot of rumors going around about AMD Zen 2. Actually, AMD’s been so good at keeping leaks that Zen 2 leaks are pretty much nonexistent. All we know about AMD Zen 2 are things that AMD revealed. All we know is that AMD Zen 2 is going to be the worlds first 7nm CPU and that it is going to be revealed sometime in 2019, most likely the first half of 2019, We also know that AMD is going to announce Zen 2 at CES 2019. The keynote will take place on January 9 at 9:00 AM in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom.

Intel 10nm CPUs Latest Rumors

Unfortunatly, we don’t have a lot of info about Intel’s next-gen 10nm CPUs either. All we know is that Intel is having some issues with their 10nm CPUs so they had to delay them to 2019. This is bad news for Intel as it could mean supply issues when their 10nm CPUs are finally released.

Will AMD be Able to Top Intel?

AMD will have a big advantage over Intel thanks to Zen 2’s 7nm architecture. Zen 2 is going to be more power efficient than Intel’s 10nm next-gen CPUs. Of course, this doesn’t mean that AMD will automatically top intel but, if AMD plays their cards right, they can easily top Intel’s 10nm CPU.
