Intel’s Ice Lake CPUs are Coming Out in the 2019 Holiday Season

Intel has been controlling most of the mid-tier gaming market thanks to their superior single-cores performance when compared to AMD Ryen CPUs. Intel hasn’t been doing very well with their next-gen CPUs as they had to delay their 10nm CPUs multiple times and they are rumored to have canceled Cannon Lake so, the only 10nm Intel CPU is going to be Ice Lake. AMD Zen 2 is going to be the worlds first 7nm CPU and it blows the competition out of the water.

AMD Ryzen Matisse Specs and Price

7nm AMD Ryzen CPUs are going to easily destroy all competition. Ryzen Matisse is going to start from $99 (Ryzen 3 3300) and go all the way to $499 (Ryzen 9 3850X.) The AMD Ryzen 3 3300 is going to feature 6 cores, 12 threads, a boost clock of 4GHz, and it will only cost you $99. For only $99, the best CPU you can get is a quad-core Ryzen 3 2200G. The AMD Ryzen 9 3850X will feature 16 cores, 32 threads, a boost clock of 5.1GHz, and it will cost you $500. For $500, you can get the Intel Core I9-9900K which features 8 Cores / 16 Threads. Thanks to Ryzen 2’s high clock it will feature good single-core performance so, current Intel CPUs don’t stand a chance.

Intel 10nm Ice Lake Latest News

Right now, we don’t know anything about Intel’s 10nm Ice Lake CPU series. All we know is that the first 10nm Intel CPUs are going to be mobile CPUs for laptops and they are going to be released in the 2019 holiday season. The desktop CPUs are going to be released sometime in 2020. 

Who Will Top the Competition?

Right now, we can’t really answer this question. Of course, AMD Zen 2 is based on 7nm architecture so it’s going to be more power efficient than Intel’s next-gen 10nm CPUs and, you can pick up Zen 2 right now. If you want to pick up an Ice Lake CPU for your system, you’ll have to more then a year.
