With AMD Navi only focused on the mid-end and low-end gaming market, NVIDIA RTX doesn’t have any competition in the high-end gaming market as the most powerful AMD gaming GPU can compete with the RTX 2060 SUPER. NVIDIA has released refreshes for the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 and now, according to the latest rumors we’re going to see the RTX 2080 SUPER very soon. 

NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER Benchmark Leaks Out

We have gotten our hands on benchmark scores for the NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER. As you can see below, the RTX 2080 SUPER was supposedly able to score 8,663 while the NVIDIA Titan XP, the most powerful gaming GPU available now scored 8,484. The RTX 2080 SUPER is rumored to cost $699 while the Titan XP costs about double at $1200. Thanks to this leaked benchmark from TUM_APISAK, we also see that the RTX 2080 SUPER is powerful enough that it came close to the $3000 Titan V which is quite an accomplishment for a $700 GPU.

The reason that you don’t see any AMD GPUs in this benchmark is because of the fact that this benchmark was done in FFXV which gives NVIDIA GPUs a massive performance boost over AMD GPUs. Of course, this benchmark is still very reliable if you want to compare NVIDIA GPUs but, it’s not good for comparing an AMD GPU to an NVIDIA GPU. 

NVIDIA Has a Firm Grip on the High-End GPU Market

As of now, AMD doesn’t have anything that can even come close to the level of performance delivered by the NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER. The most powerful Navi GPU, the RX 5700XT is able to perform halfway between the RTX 2060 SUPER and RTX 2070 SUPER. The NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER is rumored to be released in a few months because Navi doesn’t compete so NVIDIA doesn’t have a reason to release the RTX 2080 SUPER right now.
