Sony PlayStation 5 (PS 5) Is Going to Revolutionize Gaming Market With Next-Gen PSVR and 8k Gaming | Leaks and Rumors

The PSVR 2 is Going to be Fully Wireless! PS 5 to Support 8k Gaming

PS 4

Right now the Sony PlayStation 4 is the king of the console gaming market thanks to the console’s amazing exclusives and it’s also the only console that has a VR headset. If you want to get a VR headset such as the Oculus Rift and a gaming PC for VR gaming, you’ll have to spend about $700 for acceptable performance but, a PS 4 with the PSVR will cost you as low as $500. The PSVR also features a bunch of exclusives which makes gamers want the PS 4 even more. Sony has confirmed that the PS 5 is happening and, it’s going to be a powerful gaming console.

Exclusive: PSVR 2 to be Fully Wireless

As we reported earlier on UltraGamerZ, we have received information that the next Sony PlayStation VR headset is going to be fully wireless to compete with the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. As far as we know right now, the PSVR 2 is going to be released a year or two after the PS 5 and it’ll feature 4K panels (3840×2160) which means that your games will look amazing on the headset. In the meantime, gamers will be able to play with the PSVR on the PS 5 but, when the PSVR 2 is released no other VR headset will be able to compete as right now, we don’t have any information about a wireless VR headset from any other company.

The next-gen PSVR 2 is going to use LLW technology to stream games from the PS 5 to the headset. It’s going to be similar to “remote play” on the PS 4 which allowed gamers to stream PS 4 games to their PS Vita but, it’s going to stream games more smoothly. Basically, the game will run on the PS 5 and it’ll be streamed onto your VR headset.

Next-Gen Hardware

The Sony PlayStation 5 is going to use 7nm AMD Navi and Zen 2 hardware which means that the console is going to be very powerful. According to the latest rumors, the base version of the PS 5 is going to be powerful enough that it’ll be able to play triple-A games at 4k 60 FPS. Although AMD Navi doesn’t have Ray Tracing capabilities, AMD is going to design GPUs with Ray Tracing capabilities for the  PS 5 and Xbox Two. The PS 4 Pro is bottlenecked by the console’s CPU  as it’s very outdated when compared to the modern GPU in the console but, that’s not going to be the case with the PS 5 as the console is going to use 7nm Zen 2 and AMD Navi.

8K Gaming

The PS 5 is going to be the first gaming console that’s going to support 8k gaming. Although 8K gaming might seem far fetched, 8K TVs are already in the market and by the time the PS 5 is released, 8K TVs are most likely going to become mainstream. Of course, the PS 5 isn’t going to run triple-A games at 8k 60 FPS but, you may be able to run some eSports games at 8K.
