Nintendo is known for its family-friendly consoles, but it seems like the Switch will not be known as %100 family friendly. According to a The Wall Street Journal Nintendo is encouraging developers to make mature content for the Switch.
The chief executive of Inti Creates (Takuya Aizu) thought Nintendo doesn’t want their mature games on the Switch. He was wrong. When he talked to Nintendo about it, they gave him positive feedback. They made games such as Gal*Gun 2. Other companies are releasing mature games on the Switch too. Some popular mature Switch games are Skyrim, Doom, and Wolfenstein II. Rockstar is making a Switch game too. Four new versions of L.A Noire are coming, and one of them is a Switch version. These games will attract a mature audience. It’s been years since companies made good mature games for a Nintendo console.

Nintendo has been excluded from the mature audience for years, but the Switch is fixing that. We heard rumors of a GTA game coming to the Switch and seeing the direction Nintendo’s going that might happen. A user that predicted L.A Noire Switch said Rockstar is making a GTA game for the Switch. Rockstar has only released 2 GTA games on a Nintendo console China Wars (DS) and Grand Theft Auto Advance (Gameboy.) Nintendo consoles haven’t had good 3rd party support for a long time. The Switch’s 3rd party support is impressive. Most companies are releasing games on the Switch, and for the first time, we might see 2 FIFA games in 1 Nintendo console.
Nintendo Switch has been having shortage issues for a long time, but it seems like Nintendo’s fixing that. According to DigiTimes Nintendo has raised Switch production to 2 million units per month. DigiTimes sources believe the Switch production will rise further because the Switch is going to get released in China at early 2018. Nintendo expects to sell 20 million units by the end of 2017.
