The Xbox One X launched a few days ago, and games are getting Xbox One X updates, and they should look gorgeous at 4k and enhanced graphics. Xbox One X is the most powerful console ever. A PC that performs and has all the features (Blu-ray drive etc.) that the Xbox One X has will cost a lot more than the Xbox One X.
According to Bethesda’s blog, these games will look beautiful on the Xbox One X. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus’s Xbox One X update will allow players to play at 4k and Dynamic resolution scaling has been enhanced. Fallout 4’s Xbox One X update will add 4k support, Enhanced Dynamic Resolution, Enhanced draw distance for objects, and Enhanced God Ray effects. Skyrim Special Edition’s Xbox One X update will add support for 4k and enhanced dynamic resolution. Dishonored 2/Dishonored: Death of the Outsider’s Xbox One X update will add support for 4k, Enhanced dynamic resolution, better FPS stability, 4k textures, better draw distance, better anti-aliasing, and better shadows. The Evil Within 2’s Xbox One X update will have upgraded resolution and 30fps lock removal. The Elder Scrolls Online’s Xbox One X enhancements will add support for native 4k, HDR, better view distance, better shadows, and better water reflection.
The Xbox One X’s GPU is like an RX 480, and the CPU is weak. Fortunately for the Xbox One optimization allows it to run games at true 4k, but optimization can’t help its CPU. We have heard that the CPU is holding the console back, but most games still look great. Xbox One X’s CPU is a Custom x86 [Jaguar Evolved] with eight cores, 2.3GHz frequency, and 4mb of L2 cache. The PS 4 Pro has a Custom Jaguar x86 with eight cores, 2.1 GHz frequency, and 4mb L2 Cache. The Xbox One X’s GPU has 40 compute units, 1172MHz core clock, and 6 TF of computing power. The PS 4 Pro has 36 compute units, 911MHz core clock, and 4.2 TF of computing power. The Xbox One X has 12 GB of ram while the PS 4 Pro has 8GB of ram.
