AMD’s Ryzen CPU & Radeon Vega Graphics For Laptops

The AMD Ryzen mobile processor now combines the AMD Ryzen CPUs with the Radeon “Vega” architecture to deliver AMD SenseMI processor intelligence technologies enabled in AMD Ryzen mobile processors. SenseMI processor intelligence is made to adapt to your user needs with keeping it very efficient and helping extend very long battery life. AMD A while ago while was announcing the platforms, Vega graphics (“Raven Ridge”) and Ryzen APUs called them the world’s fastest processor for ultrathin laptops. New Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U are now being produced. The Introduction by AMD senior vice president and general manager was:

“We promised to bring innovation and competition back to every segment of the PC market in 2017, and today marks the fulfillment of that promise for consumer notebooks following our successful roll-out across the consumer, commercial and high-end desktop markets earlier this year,” said Jim Anderson, senior vice president and general manager, Computing and Graphics Group in AMD.

AMD has almost claimed that the Ryzen 7 2700U  is Ready for the 1080P and 4K displays and bringing gaming with this resolution and also VR support to ultra thin platforms. Both the Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U are 4-core/8-thread Zen-based CPUs with 512KB of L2 cache per core, and 4MB of shared L3 cache. They both also support dual-channel DDR4 memory, up to 2400MHz. The Ryzen 7 2700U has a 2.2GHz base clock and 3.8GHz boost clock, along with 10 CUs Radeon RX Vega 1,300MHz. Radeon 5 2700U is slightly slower with a 2GHz base clock and 3.6GHz boost clock, and has two fewer Vega CUs  8 instead of 10 in Ryzen 7, with a max 1,100MHz clock.

The AMD Ryzen Processor with Radeon graphics is designed for ultrathin notebooks. The graphics core built right into the AMD Ryzen 7 2700U and Ryzen 5 2500U processors are offering up to 2.6X the graphics performance of its peers by using the Radeon Vega. Compareing the Intel Core I7 ultratin version you can see that AMD is doing really good in here. Core i7 8550U is also made for the same level of costomers and AMD Ryzen 7 2700U is beating it in different aspects.
