Cyberpunk 2077 will not have loot boxes
Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely not have microtransactions

Microtransactions especially loot boxes are the most controversial gaming topics of 2017. Gamers labeled many games such as Star Wars Battlefront 2 as a pay to win because people that bought loot boxes got a big advantage over people that didn’t buy them, and after a lot of criticism, EA temporarily removed all microtransactions from Star Wars Battlefront 2. Microtransactions might not even come back. The Belgium government said they are investigating loot boxes because of gambling and Hawaii got involved too. Loot boxes that give gamers an advantage might get banned or labeled as gambling, and companies like EA don’t want their games to be labeled as a gambling game. In Belgium, games need a special license for gambling. Gamers are hoping for a complete removal of microtransactions from all games.
CD Projekt Red (Witcher 3’s dev) announced in a Twitter post that Cyberpunk 2077 would have a single big player just like Witcher 3 Cyberpunk 2077 will not have any hidden catches. They even went a little further by saying “We leave greed to others.” By that, they were pointing to companies such as Activision and EA. That’s very good news for gamers considering that almost every game that was released this year has microtransactions that directly affect gameplay and this news came after some speculation that Cyberpunk 2077 will have some form of microtransactions. Cyberpunk 2077’s release date hasn’t been confirmed yet, but CD Projekt Red says they hope to launch it in 2019 (at the earliest.) So Cyberpunk 2077 will not be released in a long time. Cyberpunk 2077 has been confirmed for PS 4, Xbox One, and PC. It will probably support the PS 4 Pro and Xbox One X but it might not be released on the Nintendo Switch, but before the Switch was released they said it would be a great console.
.@PrettyBadTweets Worry not. When thinking CP2077, think nothing less than TW3 — huge single player, open world, story-driven RPG. No hidden catch, you get what you pay for — no bullshit, just honest gaming like with Wild Hunt. We leave greed to others.
