Fortnite has been through a lot of controversy with Bluehole and PUBG and it’s been relatively popular. Even though it hasn’t been as successful as Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds it has been pretty successful. The fact that it’s a free game and it’s available on consoles gives it an advantage on PUBG and that advantage will stay with Fortnite because PUBG is probably not going to be released on the PS 4 for a long time. The new update will crack down on Team Killing, better friend system, new shooting model, new inventory, post match stats, map update, and much more. According to Epic games, they know that the social system that Fortnite has right now makes it very hard to add and find new friends. Epic Games is trying to make it easier to play with people that you had fun with and make new friends. Apparently importing your friends from other platforms will become a feature in the future. Regions such as Oceania don’t have the Duos playlist and they are monitoring population in each platform and region. They are working on a better way to find team killers. According to Epic’s post they have been testing to stop bullet spread while players are looking down and they will open a client server so gamers can provide feedback on the new shooting system. Apparently, Fortnite will have a big change in the inventory. The new inventory will be a lot cleaner and it’s easier to do management. With the new inventory, you will be able to drop items by dragging items out of your inventory and there are buttons for splitting things in half and dropping them. Now it’s easier to change the quick bar with a controller. When you finish your game the first static will show you how many people you killed, how many assists, accuracy, damage to players, how much damage was taken, and much more. New things such as cities will appear in maps and areas that are in the game will get updated. A few cosmetics are in the works too.
