2017 was a very successful year for Sony. The PS 4 became the 9th best-sold games of 2017 and Uncharted reached a big milestone that most developers could only dream of. Sony said that the PS 4 has sold 70.6 million units worldwide so that means right now the PS 4 is the 9th best selling console it’s above the PlayStation 3’s 70.2 million units sold and below PlayStation Portable’s 73.9 million units sold. 617.8 digital and retail PlayStation 4 games are sold worldwide and 12.2 million PS VR games sold worldwide. Many reviewers believe that PlayStation VR is the best and cheapest VR headset available right now especially since right now you can get $50 off all PS 4 Pro bundles and $100 off all PS VR bundles that means you can pick up a PS VR for only $199.99 and a PS 4 Pro for $349.99. PlayStation’s huge success really helped Uncharted’s sells.

PlayStation’s boss told push square that Uncharted has been selling very well. Layden said that the Uncharted series has sold 41.7 million copies. The 41.7 million copies include the Uncharted games that were sold as PS 4 bundles and each installment. A large part of the sells come from bundles because the PS 4 Slim and the original PS 4 had an Uncharted bundle. Seeing the sale figure more Uncharted games will probably be released. Even though Nathan Drake is over Sony will probably release more Uncharted games that games might revolve around before Nathan Drake’s story or after or a completely new story. The first Uncharted game was released on November 19, 2007, for the PS 3. The last game in the series Uncharted 4 A Thief’s End was released on May 10, 2016, for the PS 4. Uncharted revolves around the story of Nathan Drake.
