It was hard to get NES Classic edition, and a lot of people are worried the SNES Classic edition will be as rare as the NES Classic edition. It seems like the SNES Classic will not be like the NES Classic because Best Buy has 100s of SNES Classic edition in stock.

Sadly we don’t know how much stock other stores have so there is a low chance that it will be as rare as the NES Classic edition. Nintendo has already told us they are fixing stock issues for the Switch and SNES Classic. In an interview with Financial Times Reggie said, “I would strongly urge you not to overbid on a SNES Classic on any of the auction sites, You shouldn’t [have to] pay more than $79.99.” The Snes classic edition preorders sold out in minutes all around the world and if you want to pre-order it now you will have to pay $199.99 on eBay.

The NES was unavailable all the time, and if you wanted to get one, it would’ve cost $200. When it seemed like the stock issue was being fixed Nintendo discontinued the NES Classic, but after a while, they decided to bring it back Nintendo said, “Due to the incredible demand for the upcoming Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, Nintendo plans to ship the retro-inspired product into 2018. Originally, shipments were announced to cease at the end of this calendar year.” The NES Classic is coming back. Most gamers are hoping when Nintendo brings the NES Classic back stock will not be an issue.
