Rumor: Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 will be revealed in E3 2018

Amazon Canada accidentally leaked Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018

The rumors about the next installment in the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell started all the way back in 2016. The rumors originated from Neogaf user Crossing Eden and the rumors suggested that Michael Ironside is going to return to the series in the next Splinter Cell game. Now more rumors have popped up about Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 thanks to a listing of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 in Amazon Canada’s website and the model number hints at an E3 reveal.

The listing which was first spotted by Reddit user swiv-22 just has the game’s name on the listing “Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018” and the item model number is “E3TomClancy’sSplinterCell2018_2018.” This could mean that Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 is going to be revealed by Ubisoft in a few months at E3. Ubisoft has revealed pretty much all of their games in E3 and that includes Splinter Cell Blacklist which was revealed at E3 2013. This listing could be fake but it is probably true. Retailers have leaked new games many times before the most recent incident was GameStop leaked Black Ops IIII’s merchandise a few days before it was revealed. E3 2018 is only three months away and retailers get games in stock a few months before they are released. Seeing how Amazon knows about this game it could mean that it will be released a short time after E3. Normally developers wouldn’t send their game’s to retailers months before it is released.

The rumors about this game started back in 2016 because of a neogaf user named Crossing Eden. This user wrote, “Regarding other games, I haven’t been involved with Steep or Wildlands, but I was surprised Splinter Cell didn’t appear at E3. I know Ironside is back. He was in the studio, I said Hi to him and his daughter. He was shooting a movie with Amy Jo Johnson, and I know someone who worked on that set and Ironside confirmed to him he was doing the new Splinter Cell. I know Toronto has the mocap studio for it.I’m hoping to hear or see something unofficial, if not official, this year, but its been hard to get anything beyond “It’s Happening”.” If the game was in development a while before 2016 it’s likely to see Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell 2018 in E3 2018.
