AMD 18.2.2 Driver released Fortnite, PUBG Vega 56/RX 580 and more

The new AMD Adrenalin Edition 18.2.2 Drivers improves PUBG, Fortnite, and Kingdom Come Deliverance Performance

Right now AMD is faced with massive graphics card shortages and right now most modern graphics cards are in the hands of miners instead of gamers. Nvidia has already released a graphics card driver for Fortnite, PUBG, and Kingdom Come Deliverance and now AMD has released their drivers for Fornite, PUBG, and Kingdom Come Deliverance.

According to AMD the new update gamers that update to the Adrenalin Edition 18.2.2 Driver will get up to a 3% performance increase to players that were using the Adrenalin Edition 18.2.1 playing at 2560x1440p. Gamers with the RX 580 will get up to 4% performance increase than gamers that played with the Adrenalin Edition 18.2.1 at 1920x1080p. On Fortnite gamers with an RX Vega 56 will get a 3% performance increase compared to the Adrenalin Edition 17.12.1 at 1440p. On the RX 580 gamers could get up to a 6% performance boost with the new driver over the 17.12.1 driver at 1080p. In PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds gamers with the RX Vega 56 will get a 5% performance boost over the 17.12.1 driver at 1440p. With the RX 580 gamers could get a 7% performance boost over the 17.12.1 driver at 1080p.

The new update comes with many problems. Thos problems are Radeon FreeSync may wrongly engage while using Chrome video playback, Radeon Overlay hotkey might fail to open the AMD overlay or it might make a Radeon Host software crash, FreeSync might change between minimum & maximum range while turned on, “Flickering may be observed on the performance metrics overlay when Enhanced Sync is enabled on some Radeon FreeSync connected `displays”, random system hang might happen if system with 12 graphics cards used for a long time, water textures might be missing in Final Fantasy, and GPU Workload feature might hang when you switch to compute with crossfire.
