AMD Zen 2 Laptop CPU Destroys Intel CPUs in Official Benchmarks
7nm AMD Zen 2 Laptop CPUs Official Benchmarks
If you follow the gaming news, you have definitely heard about AMD’s next-generation of Ryzen CPUs. AMD Zen 2 is rumored to be released sometime the year or maybe next year and, according to AMD’s official benchmarks, Zen 2 is going to give Intel a run for its money.
AMD Zen 2 Leaks & Benchmarks
In their official benchmarks, AMD compares the Ryzen 7 Pro 3700U to the Intel Core I7 8650U and things don’t look too well for Intel.

As you can see above, the AMD Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 are able to outperform their Intel counterparts in every benchmark by a long shot. Thanks to AMD’s Vega IGPUs, Zen 2 notebooks will destroy laptops powered by Intel.

As you can see above, AMD Zen 2’s IGPUs are going to deliver serious performance. It seems like thanks to AMD’s next-gen 7nm IGPUs, gamers are going to be able to play light games and get 60 FPS with the game running at 1080p. Right now, Intel’s most powerful IGPU has a hard time playing esports games at 1080p and still get more than 30 FPS.
How Much Will it Cost?
Right now, we don’t know how much the AMD laptops will cost but, we do have credible rumors about Zen 2’s price point. According to the leaked specs list below, the AMD Ryzen 7 3700x is going to cost you $329, therefore, the Core I7-8650u will most likely be Ryzen 7 3700x’s closest competitor. It makes no sense to go with Intel as AMD Zen 2 overtakes Intel in terms of CPU and IGPU performance by a long shot. If you need to play a game like Rocket league with the Intel HD Graphics 630 at 1080p you can get 60 FPS but, you’d have to set it on low settings which means the game will look really bad. With the Vega 11 iGPU, you will probably be able to run Rocket League at 1080p medium to high settings and still get 60 FPS.

Ryzen 3700U is not a 7nm chip. It is on GloFo’s 12nm process. Which is essentially a refined version of their 14nm process.
It doesn’t matter how good Ryzen Mobile is since the OEMs have to get permission from Intel before they release a gimped Ryzen Mobile SKU.
