According to many rumors that were started by many different sources Nvidia is going to release a new lineup of GPUs that are going to be revolutionary for the gaming market this July. The new GTX 1180 is said to feature 3584 Cuda Cores, 16GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. The GTX 1180 is expected to come out in July or Q3 2018 and it is to cost somewhere around $699. The GTX 1180 is going to feature specs that are around the Nvidia Titan XP but it is going to cost around $500 less. When Nvidia releases the GTX 1100 series they will capture pretty much all of the GPU market. AMD will release a response to Nvidia’s GTX 1180 sooner or later, but the real question is when are they going to release it?

The AMD RX Vega 56 was released in August 2017, the RX 580 was released in April 2017, and the RX 480 was released in June 2016. The Radeon R9 380 was released in June 2015. All of these GPUs were released around the same months and if you didn’t notice they are all in the Summertime. With the GTX 1180 likely coming out this July, AMD is probably going to release their next-gen GPU in August 2018.

AMD will want to be able to actually compete with Nvidia so they will have to release GPUs that have the same specs or a little more or less. Although as of the writing f this article we haven’t seen any rumors about the next-gen AMD GPUs they are probably going to start coming out in a month or two or we might not see any rumors until AMD officially announces them.
