Unfortunatly Bayonetta/Bayonetta 2 are going to run at 720p on the Switch

When the Nintendo Switch launched many people were saying that the hybrid console will fail and it will become another Wii U for the Nintendo but those people were completly wrong. The Nintendo Switch has been doing extremely well. It has sold 10 million units only 9 months after launch, and Sony has said that Sony’s home console the PS 4 and Nintendo’s hybrid console the Nintendo Switch are competing. A few days ago Nintendo announced a fan favorite Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 for the Nintendo Switch. Well, it’s not all good news because of Nintendo Switch’s lack of graphical power Bayonetta 2 will not look very good on the Switch especially when it’s docked.

A Polish website called FilmWeb talked to Nintendo’s Polish distributor ConQuest Entertainment and they confirmed some bad news about Bayonetta/Bayonetta 2 on the Nintendo Switch. The bad news is the fact that it’s going to be running at 720p 60 FPS on the Switch. Unfortunately, it will run at 720p 60 FPS in docked mode and portable mode. It doesn’t matter for portable mode because the Switch’s display is 720p but it might not look very good in docked mode. The good news is the fact that it’s going to run at 60 FPS so it’s going to be very smooth. FilmWeb also wrote that Platinum Games are working on the Switch port of Bayonetta no external involvement are working on the port. Also, Bayonetta 3’s development team is similar to the other games in the series. The Nintendo Switch port of Bayonetta 2 will come with the original Bayonetta and they will be released on the Nintendo Switch on February 16, 2018. Although we don’t have a lot of info on Bayonetta 3 we have seen a trailer and we do know that it will be a Switch exclusive and it will support video capture, amiibo support, and “Local wireless cooperative.” You can read more about that here.
