New “Portal” Video Game, Bridge Constructor Portal
Bridge Constructor Portal to be out soon for PC and 2018 for Consoles
A new “Portal” video game which is a popular Sifi puzzle game has been announced to be out soon. It’s a little different to the older version in the series based on the new trailer that is released. The new game is called Bridge Constructor Portal and it’s a crossover between Valve’s puzzle franchise and Bridge Constructor.
It’s coming to PC and mobile on December 20, “console versions” following in “early 2018.” Developers ClockStone Software and Headup Games no commet on which consoles they were referring to, but the trailer shows logos for PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, so you can assume the game is coming to those platforms at least and probably the same time around the early 2018. This isn’t the first Portal crossover: A Portal movie version is also in development from Star Wars: The Force Awakens director JJ Abrams, though there has been no update on that since September 2016. Rocket League received Portal-themed DLC in 2015, Valve also made an appearance in Lego Dimensions. The last full Portal title, Portal 2, launched in 2011.
“For the last year we’ve been secretly working in our underground labs on the next iteration of the million-selling Bridge Constructor series,” reads a statement from Headup. “This new stand-alone title will release on PC, MacOS, Linux, mobile devices, and console, and fully embraces the Portal license, one of the most beloved video game franchises of the last decade.”
