Can AMD Ryzen 2 7nm CPUs Compete With Next-Gen Intel CPUs (Core I9-9900K) In Terms of Gaming (Specs, Release Date)
Can AMD Compete With Intel When They Release Their Next-Gen CPUs
Since AMD released their Ryzen series CPUs, Intel has been working hard to recapture the gaming market. Ryzen was the first gaming CPU that didn’t cost too much and had more than four cores, making it the perfect card for productivity, but it wasn’t good enough in terms of gaming thanks to Ryzen’s low single core scores. According to the latest rumors, Intel is going to release a new CPU series that might be able to dethrone Ryzen regarding gaming and productivity, but the bad news for Intel is that the next-gen Ryzen CPUs are going to be 7nm. If AMD plays their cards right, AMD might capture a large part of the gaming CPU market.
Intel Core I9-9900K Rumored Specs and Release Date
According to the latest leaks, the Intel Core I9-9900K is going to very powerful. It is going to feature a whopping eight cores and 16 threads, up to 5GHz out of the box, 16mb of cache, and it will cost you $582. Considering that the latest gaming Core I7 CPUs feature four cores but still score better in games when compared to Ryzen, the Core I9-9900K is going to be very good for gaming. This rumor is very credible as it was found on the official Amazon site.
The Intel Core I9-9900k was initially rumored to be revealed on October first, but that didn’t happen. As of now, there aren’t solid rumors on the internet about the Core I9-9900K’s release date, but we could infer that it would be some time around October, thanks to previous rumors.
Ryzen 2 Rumored Specs and Release Date
Thanks to AMD themselves, we know that the next-gen AMD CPUs are going to be 7nm and coming out in 2019. AMD says that Ryzen 2 will “Improve on Zen in multiple dimensions.” AMD is really good at suppressing leaks, so we don’t have a lot of info on it, but this will be the first 7nm CPU on the market and could perform really well in gaming. The price point is unclear as well but it would likely be around $400, so it can compete with Intel’s Core I9-9900K.
