As of right now, even if you are very bad at shooting you could easily get a win if you are really good at building. Players that aren’t talented at the building but very talented at aiming are probably going to lose to someone that is bad at aiming but somewhat good at building, especially at end game. Epic Games is trying to improve the Fortnite experience for players and with future Fortnite updates, Epic Games is planning to start supporting a more diverse range of play styles so that endgame doesn’t just boil down to “just build lol” strategy.

In a blog post, Epic Games wrote,“You should be able to find Victory Royales through multiple strategies. Shotguns should be strong, but other weapons have room to grow. Not every encounter should have to end in a build-off. We want to empower you to showcase your skill, strategy, and tactics in all variety of ways.” This is bad news for players that spent hours and hours to master building.

Don’t worry this doesn’t mean that building would be rendered completely useless but builders woudn’t be able to overpower shooters as easily. You will actually need to be good at shooting and building not only building. In the coming months it will be harder for builders to win games but much easier for shooters. People that are good at both will have a massive advantage over other players.

Many gamers have a problem with the new update as the difference between Fornite and other battle royal games is that in Fortnite you can build in fact building is more important than shooting. The good thing is that Epic Games listens to the gaming community so if enough players dislike the update Epic wouldn’t roll it out.
