Gran Turismo Sport Celebrates 5 Million Player Mark

5 Million Players Have Played Gran Turismo Sports

Gran Turismo Sport is a racing video game exclusive to the Sony PlayStation 4. The Gran Turismo series is Sony’s answer to the Forza Horizon series. For the first time in the series, Gran Turismo Sport features Porsche cars. Gran Turismo Sport isn’t the best and most popular Gran Turismo game but it has a new feature that none of the older versions of the games have VR support. For the first time, gamers are able to play Gran Turismo Sport in Virtual Reality using the PlayStation VR.

Gran Turismo Sport’s producer Kazunori Yamauchi announced on Twitter that Gran Turismo Sport has hit the five million player mark. In the Tweet, Kazunori Yamauchi thanked players in many different languages along with a gif that read “Over 5 Milion Gran Turismo Sport Players!” Remember that 5 million players doesn’t mean the Gran Turismo Sport sold 5 million copies. It means that 5 million different PlayStation players played Gran Turismo Sport. So if two people use two different accounts on one PS 4 to play Gran Turismo Sport they count as two players.

Gran Turismo Sport also comes with the PlayStation VR. For $229.99 you can purchase a PS VR, PS camera, and a physical copy of Gran Turismo Sport. This bundle also includes the PlayStation PS VR Demo Disc. This bundle comes with the older version of the PS VR, not the new version. The new model is called CUH-ZVR, and it has a better processor unit that works with HDR, and it comes with a thinner connection cable. The new version will also have a feature that allows stereo headphone cables to be integrated with PS VR. You can also buy the PlayStation Move Motion Controllers to use motion controls to play the game.
