GTX 1100 GPU Line Up likely to Allow 1440p Gaming at a Budget
PC Gamers might be able to play all games at 1440p high-ultra 60 FPS on a PC under $1000
PC gamers have been able to play their games at ultra 60 FPS 1080p on a PC that costs less than $1000 for quite some time now but good quality and smooth 1440p gaming has been set aside for people that can afford to pay $1100+ a fee that is way to large for many gamers to pay. This year the GTX 1070 allowed gamers to play most games at 1440p high to ultra settings 60 FPS but after a year or two, it wasn’t possible to play games at 1440p on a GTX 1070 anymore. If you didn’t know the GTX 1180 is going to feature specs stronger then the Titan XP but it is going to cost around $700 instead of Titan XP’s $1200 price tag. If the rumors are true the GTX 1180 is going to be revolutionary for the PC gaming market.
Although the specs of the GTX 1170 haven’t been leaked it is going to be easy to guess how it will perform. Nvidia will likely do what they did with the GTX 1000 GPUs. The GTX 1080 was the “4k” card and the GTX 1070 was the 1440p card. They will probably do the same thing with the GTX 1100 GPUs. The GTX 1180 is going to be the 4k card and the GTX 1170 is going to be the 1440p card. The price point is probably going to be somewhere around $400.
The GTX 1170 should be able to play games at 1440p Ultra to high settings 60 FPS. 1080p gaming is going to be a breeze. The specs are probably going to be somewhere around GTX 1080’s or maybe 1080 TI’s. With a $400 GPU, you could find a CPU for $200, a motherboard for around $100, and the other stuff added up will cost less than $1000 unless you buy the expensive stuff.
