GTX 1180 To be Announced This August as Indicated by Rumors Next Gen AMD GPUs likely Coming Out Soon After

The GTX 1180 is probably going to be announced this August 

The Nvidia GTX 1180 is expected to be the strongest consumer GPU under $1000. The Nvidia GTX 1180 is going to have specs that are similair to the Titan XP but the price is expected to be somewhere around $700 and it is going to be announced or revealed this Summer. According to rumors the GTX 1180 is going to feature 3584 Cuda Cores, 16GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. If these rumors are to be believed the GTX 1180 is going to be revolutionary for the gaming market as gamers will be able to play games at 4k, ultra 40+ FPS with a GPU that costs less then $1000. If the GTX 1160 has the same architecture it is likely going to be able to play every game at 1440p, ultra settings, 60 FPS. 

In a recent video, a Lenovo product manager lets slip that their laptops are going to feature GTX 11 GPUs this Fall. According to a rumor from VideoCardz Nvidia has been sending out invitations to the press to come to this years Gamescom and watch Nvidia’s conference. Apparently, the invite mentions new Nvidia hardware. If laptops coming this fall are going to feature GTX 11 series GPUs then Nvidia will likely announce the GTX 1180 sometime in this Summer. 

AMD will also have an even at Gamescom and they are sending out invites to the press. AMD has released all of their graphics cards in Summer with the Vega 56 coming out in August, RX 580 released in April, RX 480 released in June, and the Radeon R9 380 in June as well. As you can see AMD has released most of their GPUs around Summertime so they will probably release their next GPUs around August this year to be able to compete with Nvidia’s GTX 11 series GPU.
