Intel is Way Behind AMD? 7nm Zen 2 a Few Months Away
Zen 2 is Really Close to Release

Right now, Intel controls most of the gaming CPU market thanks to their superior single-core performance when compared to AMD CPUs around the same price point. Thanks to Intel’s higher single-core performance, Intel does better then AMD in gaming. Although Intel is in currently in control, AMD’s next-gen 7nm CPUs are a few months away and they will give AMD a big advantage over Intel.
Zen 2 is a Few Months Away
AMD has already confirmed that they are going to announce their next-gen CPUs and GPUs at CES 2019 on January 9. AMD usualy releases their hardware a month or two after they are announced so we are probably going to see Zen 2 really soon. Zen 2 is going to be announced on January 9 at 9:00 AM in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom by AMD’s CEO Dr. Lisa Su.
Intel is Way Behind the Competition
AMD’s 7nm CPU series are a few months away from release and Intel is way behind AMD. Right now, Intel’s next-gen CPU series is going to run on a 10nm architecture and the release date isn’t known. Intel hasn’t even talked about it. We don’t have a roadmap, an announcement date, and we know that Intel is having a lot of issues with their next-gen 10nm CPUs. This suggests that Intel’s 10nm CPUs are really far from release.
AMD will get a big advantage over Intel thanks to their 7nm CPUs. Zen 2 will be more power efficient than current CPUs available in the market allowing AMD to feature higher core clocks. This means that Zen 2 will feature better single core performance, more cores, and it is going to be better for overclocking when compared to Intel CPUs.
