Is PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Worth it in 2019? A Late Review
The Game Has Gotten A Lot Better

When PUBG was released it instantly started gaining traction in the gaming market thanks to many popular streamers starting to show off the game in their streams. PUBG became the most played game on Steam with millions and millions of users playing the game every single day. Thanks, PUBG’s success, the game’s developer Bluehole went from a small indie dev in Korea to a massive international company. When Fortnite was released PUBG started losing a lot of popularity and now, the game has started losing players. Well, if you haven’t gotten your hands on PUBG yet, this is a review that will help you make your decision.
PUBG Performs a Lot Better
When PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds aka PUBG was at the height of its popularity, the game was extremely unpolished and glitchy but, after a few years of work, PUBG has gotten to an acceptable place in terms of performance. My PC features an I7-7700k and a GTX 1070 but, it had a hard time running PUBG at 1080p high to ultra settings. For a smooth 60 FPS gameplay, I needed to set my graphics settings to medium-high but now, I can get smooth 60 FPS gameplay without many dips in performance.
PUBG has also gotten way more polished. If you joined a PUBG match a few months back, you would’ve definitely encountered at least one small glitch in one or two matches and 1 major glitch in about 5 matches if you got lucky. Nowadays PUBG performs like a somewhat polished triple-A game and it doesn’t have a lot of glitches anymore. I have been playing PUBG in the past weeks and the number of glitches has definitely decreased by a good amount since the past few months. PUBG has gotten better and better every month and when season 4 is released, the game’s expected to start performing better.
Loads of Content
When PUBG was released it didn’t feature a lot of content and since the developers were focused on fixing the game, PUBG didn’t get a lot of new content for a long time but, PUBG now features 4 different maps and the maps are absolutely huge which means that it’ll take a very long time for you to get bored from the game. Also, PUBG season 4 is going to be released in a few days which means that gamers will get loads of new content to enjoy.
