Latest Leaks: 7nm Ryzen, AMD Zen 2 May Cause Intel Stocks to Plummet
AMD Zen 2 is only a Few Months Away

AMD hasn’t been doing that well in the CPU gaming market. Although AMD Ryzen CPUs feature more cores than Intel CPUs around the same price point, Intel has a big advantage in gaming. Intel CPUs have superior single-core performance when compared to Ryzen CPUs around the same price point so Intel does a lot better then AMD in gaming benchmarks. AMD is going to release the worlds first 7nm CPUs really soon and it may cause Intel’s stocks to plummet.
Intel has had a bad year in 2018 from the spectre, security issues, CEO selling the shares scandals and cpu flaws to the CPU shortage for 12 and 10 nm platform and AMD announcment of 7nm technology movement in 2019. With all that in mind and the fact that already many datacenter customers of Xion has moved plans to work with AMD in 2019 for the great EPYC platform that AMD introduced in 2018. All are making the ground for a very nice head start for AMD in 2019. If everything goes well with releasing the 7nm platforms expected to be introduced in early 2019, Intel should fear the consequences.
AMD Zen 2 Latest Leaks and Rumors
AMD has announced that they are going to release their next-genaration of CPUs at CES 2019 on January 9. AMD usualy releases their hardware a little after they are announced so it’s very likely to see AMD Zen 2 a month or two after CES 2019. Unfortunately, we don’t have a lot of info on AMD’s next-gen 7nm CPUs. All we know is that Zen 2 is coming out in the first half of 2019 and it’s going to be based on a 7nm architecture. This means that Zen 2 is going to be more power efficient than current CPUs available in the market making AMD be able to deliver a high clock speed. This also means that AMD Zen 2 will be better for overclocking as it is going to run a lot cooler than competing CPUs.
Zen 2 May Cause Intel Stocks to Plummet
If AMD is able to deliver higher clock speeds, they could gain a massive advantage over Intel. AMD CPUs are better at multitasking then Intel CPUs around the same price point thanks to their higher core count. If AMD Zen 2 features higher clock speeds or at least similair clock speeds to Intel CPUs, AMD could surpass Intel in gaming and multitasking. Of course, this doesn’t mean that AMD is going to cause Intel to go bankrupt as they make a lot of money from other areas such as AI technology. Gaming is a big part of Intel’s income so, Zen 2 may be really bad news for Intel.

Zen and Zen+ already compete very well in gaming, to such extent Intel had to up its game or face losing even more market share. As it stands I can now get an AMD Ryzen+ CPU for less than an Intel equivalent with extra CPU resources, meaning that I can game AND do other stuff I would most likely be unable to do on the Intel platform. Zen 2 is also far more than just higher clock speeds: the per-clock improvement is if reports are right, going to be significant. It is more a case of working even smarter, cooler, than it is playing the MHz game. I am not fan-boy, and I have used both platforms over the years. What I see in Zen has impressed me very much especially when you consider a) where AMD came from, b) How big AMD is compared to Intel, and c) Just how committed AMD is in making even more innovative and useful improvements – all on the same socket. In contrast it seems Intel has mostly stagnated the market and pissed off a lot of loyal customers..I am sick of paying through the teeth for something AMD can do faster, cheaper..and now a heck of a lot cooler. Neither will I have to compromise should I be unable to afford top-dollar silicon. It’s already a done deal for my needs and just because Intel might be able to get 10% more FPS..it doesn’t matter. It’s not important to me. AMD is already more than fast enough for what I want to do and when I want to do something else at the same time AMD is streets ahead.
Intel is fighting back by stealing AMS’s engineer.. Intel is shameless dirty players..
