new Microsoft promotions rumored free Xbox Live with Game Pass

The new Microsoft promotion is going to save you a lot of money

One of the worst aspects of the PS 4 and Xbox One is paid online. Xbox One gamers have to pay $59.99 a year to play with their friends. Gamers do get a few free games each month and exclusive deals on many Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. Xbox One gamers also have access to a paid subscription named Xbox Game Pass. With Xbox Game Pass gamers can pay $9.99 a month to get hundreds of Xbox One and Xbox 360 games. These games include Halo 5, Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2, and Rise of the Tomb Raider. Right now if you want to buy a year of Xbox Live and Xbox Game Pass you will have to pay around $180. $180 is a lot of money for many gamers but with Microsoft’s rumored promotion the price will be reduced to $120 or $10 a month. 

A Twitter user by the name Enric Bernades Tweeted an image of a Microsoft promotion on the Xbox One. Bernades wrote, “OMG!!! Seems like a time limited offer (though no mention of when it ends). But could it be the beginning of a new era for Xbox Live? (I think it’s obvious but just in case I translate: free gold with game pass)” 

 

Right now Microsoft hasn’t said anything about a new promotion that gives free Xbox Live to users that are subscribed to Xbox Game Pass. On the image, it doesn’t say when the promotion is going to end. This could mean that from now on Xbox Live is going to be free with Xbox Game Pass forever but business wise that wouldn’t make a lot of sense for Microsoft. This is probably just a promotion to get more players to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.
