Next-Gen AMD Ryzen CPU  Leak shows it may get new Design that will Surpass Intel’s Next-Gen CPUs

Will Intel’s Hybrid Approach be able to Compete with next-gen Ryzen?

Recently, a lot of rumors have been floating around the internet about the next-generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs saying that they will be released within the next few months. Both AMD and Intel are working hard to surpass each other in their next-gen hardware and Intel wants to do this by using a hybrid approach. New rumors show that AMD plans to respond to Intel’s hybrid approach by using a new Zen 4 Dense CPU architecture.

Zen 4 Dense CPU Architecture

It is rumored that the next-generation of Ryzen and EPYC CPUs will implement AMD’s new CPU architecture called Zen 4 Dense. Supposedly this new architecture will first be seen on the Bergamo lineup of server chips that may launch in 2023. With this new approach AMD hopes to tackle Intel’s new Hybrid approach that will be improved upon in their next-gen hardware.

The new AMD Zen 4D cores are going to be a redesign of Zen 4 so they will not bring any super big improvements however, AMD hopes to increase the overall core density with their new approach. What this means for consumers is that AMD will be able to raise the core count in their CPUs. Right now consumer level CPUs don’t really need an increase in cores, however, this definitely has the potential to significantly lower the cost of 8 core CPUs. The new architecture will bring the most improvement for AMD’s EPYC server CPUs since they could use a increase in core count.

For gamers AMD’s new architecture may not be anything too important. Zen 4D will supposedly lower clock speeds to hit power consumption targets but in return increase core count. Right now most games will be fine even on quad-core CPUs and the price of 6 or 8 core CPUs wouldn’t be very high if there were no supply issues. Overall as it is rumored right now, the new architecture will probably bring the most improvement in the server scene not the general consumer market.
