AMD Has Released New and Updated Roadmaps

Right now the higher-end gaming market is controlled by NVIDIA thanks to their RTX series GPUs while the mid-end and low-end gaming market is controlled by AMD’s 7nm Navi GPUs which targets the $300-$400 price range and if you didn’t know, that is the majority of the gaming GPU market. Well, according to the latest rumors next-gen AMD Navi GPUs as well as next-gen NVIDIA GPUs are all going to be released at the end of 2020 or 2021.

New AMD Navi Roadmap Revealed

We have gotten our hands on a new roadmap for AMD’s GPU plan from now all the way through 2021. Right now AMD is the only company that produces hardware for PC based on a 7nm architecture. According to AMD’s latest roadmap, RDNA 2 (AKA next-gen Navi GPUs) based on the 7nm+ architecture are going to be released sometime in 2021. It was previously said that the next-gen RDNA 2 GPUs are going to be targeting the higher-end market, and it was said to be an RTX killer. With NVIDIA Ampere on the way, we have to wait and see if RDNA 2 can compete with NVIDIA Ampere.

Unfortunately, we haven’t gotten our hands on any roadmaps or official news about NVIDIA’s next-gen 7nm GPUs. It was previously rumored that NVIDIA is going to be using Samsung’s 7nm extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) to make their next-gen NVIDIA GPUs based on the 7nm architecture. It was rumored that NVIDIA Ampere is going to be released in late 2020 or maybe 2021, which means that it will be a direct competitor to the next-gen RDNA 2 Navi series GPUs. Unfortunately, that’s all of the information that we have right now. Hopefully, we will get more information about NVIDIA’s next-gen GPUs either from official news or rumors when the GPU gets closer to release.
