Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds Xbox One already sold 4 million units
PUBG has been doing very well on the Xbox One
Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds is the reason why the battle royal genre is so big right now. At first, PUBG was released on the PC in early access but when it blew up Bluehole made an exclusivity deal with Microsoft and released PUBG for the Xbox One. PUBG Xbox One doesn’t run or look well it looks very bad on the Xbox One compared to the PC version. Even though PUBG has had a lot of problems on the Xbox One 4 million games still bought it for their Xbox One or Xbox One X.
Recently in a blog, post-PUBG Corp announced that the Xbox One version of Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds has already sold 10 million units and they announced that every PUBG Xbox One owner will get free points to buy loot boxes. In an official Xbox blog post, PUBG Corp wrote, “Today we’re excited to announce another milestone for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG): the community of players on console has now grown to over 4M players! We’re thrilled to see the community continue to grow and have been inspired by everyone’s enthusiasm for the game – with your ongoing support and feedback we will continue to evolve PUBG and create the best experience for Xbox players.” All PUBG Xbox One players that signup by January 31 12AM PST will get 30,000 Battle Points for free so they can buy new clothes.”
Since PUBG Xbox One launched it wasn’t well received by fans because of its bad performance issues and graphics. On the base Xbox One system PUBG runs close to the very low preset to the low preset on PC at 1080p 30 FPS. On the Xbox One PUBG has lower draw distance than the very low settings on the PC but textures and shadows look like the PC version. Overall on the Xbox One PUBG runs at less than very low to close to low settings. On the Xbox One X PUBG looks like PC’s medium settings. On the Xbox One X PUBG runs at 4k, 30 FPS. The PC medium preset has better anti-aliasing and better draw distance then PUBG Xbox One X. Unfortunately on the XBox One PUBG’s draw distance is close to PC’s low settings.
