Rocket League might become one of the few PS 4 games with crossplay

PS 4 gamers have been missing out on many features such as cross play and early access. Microsoft and Nintendo don’t have a problem with crossplay but for an unknown reason, Sony doesn’t want PS 4 games to get crossplay. Rocket League Xbox One and Steam have crossplay but Sony didn’t want to let PS 4 gamers play with their friends on the Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Sony didn’t have a problem with Minecraft PS 4 getting cross play with the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Well, Rocket League PS 4 might get cross play with the Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Steam. This is very good news for PS 4 gamers that want to play with friends on the other platforms.
A Twitter user asked Rocket League, “Hey @RL_Support, are you currently working on the cross-platform party system, and if so, could you maybe give us a little hint of the possible release date?” The Rocket League help Twitter account replied with, “Hey there! We’re actively working on cross-platform party support for a 2018 release:).” This response doesn’t mean that Rocket League PS 4 will get cross play there still is a chance that Sony doesn’t allow Psyonix to enable cross-play on Rocket League PS 4. When another Twitter user asked them a question about Rocket League PS 4 cross play the Rocket League Help Twitter account replied, “Hey Alex! We’re still looking into all the details about the cross-platform party feature, so we don’t have yet any specific information about which platforms will have it at launch. Stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook for updates!” Rocket League was released for the PC and PS 4 first back in July 2015 and then it came to the Xbox One on February 15 2016 and it came out on Nov 14, 2017 for the Nintendo Switch. Right now Rocket League costs $19.99 on the PC, Xbox One, PS 4, and Nintendo Switch.
