RTX 2060 Leak: Nvidia Trying to Deliver Ray Tracing to Low-End Gaming Market | 6 RTX 2060 Variants Coming
Nvidia is Reportedly Going to Release 6 Different RTX 2060 Variants

All RTX GPUs that Nvidia has released have been on the expensive side as the RTX 2070 will cost you at least $500. $500 for the GPU alone is too much money for many people but, if you want RTX you would have to get the RTX 2070. Thanks to recent rumors, we know that Nvidia is going to release low-end RTX GPUs in mid-January.
Nvidia to Release 6 Different RTX 2060 GPUs
Thanks to Videocardz, we know that Nvidia is going to release six different RTX 2060 series GPUs. We will be getting a 6gb variant, a 4gb variant, and a 3gb variant of the RTX 2060. Each one of these different variants comes in two different memory types, GDDR6 and GDDR5(X). Gigabyte is going to release an AORUS Xtreme, Gaming OC, WindForce 3X/2X, and Mini ATX series for every variant of the RTX 2060 so, they are all going to be desktop cards. Nvidia released a 5GB variant of the GTX 1060 so they might be doing the same thing with the RTX 2060. When you do the math you figure out that Gigabyte is going to release 40 different variants of the RTX 2060.
Nvidia To Deliver Ray Tracing to the Low-End Gaming Market
Nvidia is most likely doing this so that they can deliver Ray Tracing to the low-end gaming market. Nvidia is probably going to release the 3gb variant of the card so that they can bring the price down to about $300. The RTX 2060 6gb will likely cost the same amount as the GTX 1070 which was $379. The 3gb variant will probably cost you somewhere around $300 so that even gamers on a budget are able to experience ray tracing. All variants of the RTX 2060 will feature ray tracing but, the 3gb variant will have a hard time running games with ray tracing enabled. 3GB of VRAM isn’t even enough to run triple-A games at 1080p but we have to wait and see to test the final product.
