Microsoft announced Sea of Thieves for the PC and Xbox One a long time ago, and we saw some gameplay, but people weren’t allowed to play it. Microsoft did announce the Sea of Thieves technical alpha, but it was a closed alpha, so a few people were allowed to play the alpha. As time went by more and more Sea of Thieves alpha codes were sent out, and now anyone on the PC and Xbox One can participate in the technical alpha.
Anyone that joins the insider program by December 1st will be invited to the next open alpha, and you might be chosen to participate in closed alphas in the future. According to Microsoft, the next alpha will have new features, and eligible players can play right now. Becoming a Sea of Thieves insider is free, and it will take you 5 minutes at maximum. Microsoft says fans feedback has helped and changed the game a lot and they showed new features such as skeletal sentinels and solo ships. Go to the Sea of Thieves website to sign up for the insider program. Insiders will get updates about Sea of Thieves from the official forums and the newsletters. Unfortunately, Xbox One gamers will need an Xbox Live subscription to sign up for Sea of Thieve’s insider program. It’s the perfect time to buy Xbox Live Gold because you can get one month of Gold for $1 from the Microsoft store. Sea of Thieves will be released in Spring 2018 so Sea of Thieves is only a few months away. You can join the insider program here you will need a Microsoft account to join the insider program. It’s also a good time to buy an Xbox One S+ 1 free game for $189 or pay $299.99 to get an Xbox One S with two controllers, three months of Xbox game pass, NBA 2K 18, and Madden 18 for $299.99 at Costco.
