Star Wars is one of the most successful franchises in the world making billions thanks to very successful movies and video games but, the franchise hasn’t been doing that well recently. The newest Star Wars movies are very much disliked by fans and, Star Wars Battlefront II died before it came out thanks to it’s pay to win mechanics which were later removed. Although Battlefront II was not worth it when it came out, thanks to the numerous DLCs released by EA the game is definitely worth it especially if you’re a big Star Wars fan. 

New Content

Every few months since Star Wars Battlefront II came out, EA has released new content for Battlefront II. Not only small things such as new weapons but also new maps, heroes, and much more. About 2 months ago EA released a new DLC for battlefront 2 which allowed gamers to play as separatists or forces of the Galactic Republic in Capital Supremacy. On the official website, it’s described as “an immersive, Clone Wars-era authentic experience in Star Wars™ Battlefront™ II – where non-linear ground battles fuse with the thrill of invading capital ships and taking them down.” That’s not all, fans also got 2 new maps, the Pipeline Junction on Genesis as well as the “Separatist Dreadnought and Republic Attack Cruiser capital ship interiors.”

The flow of new content means that you’ll have more than enough free DLC to play the game for a long time without getting bored. Companies like EA usually forget about games that flop a few months after release but, Battlefront 2 has been getting updates for a year and a half.

Low Price

Star Wars Battlefront II launched with a price tag of $59.99 which was too much considering that the game had pay to win mechanics and the fact that there wasn’t much to do but, thanks to the new DLCs and Origin sales, Battlefront II is worth it for every Star Wars fan. Right now on Origin, you can pick up Battlefront 2 for only $4.49. If you are bored and looking for a new game to play it wouldn’t be bad to give Battlefront II another shot.
