Star Wars Battlefront II Patch 2.0 out fixes pay to win issues
EA has released a new patch for Battlefront II
Star Wars Battlefront II was one of the biggest disappointments of 2017 for gamers. After Battlefront’s failure, EA announced Battlefront II and the gameplay got gamers very excited for the game but when they realized that it was a pay to win the hype turned to anger. The new update supposedly revamps progression and fixes most of the pay to win issues that players had.
The new update has made progression linear. That means if you want to level up a trooper you will need to play as that unit and get skill points through winning and play time. You can use the skill points to unlock that unit’s star card. You don’t have to get crates to earn star cards. You earn skill points by leveling up your character. the battle point system hasn’t been changed. If you have already bought content through microtransactions don’t worry they wouldn’t be removed. If you buy a crate you will get cosmetic items only. In the new update, all heroes are unlocked as well.
When Battlefront II was announced it was surrounded by lots of hype and when EA said that all DLCs will be free gamers got even more excited. Finally, it was a few days before launch and some gamers got access to the game. When gamers started playing the game they realized that Battlefront II has a pay to win mechanic. Players were able to buy in-game currency with real money and buy loot boxes so they can skip the grind for them. It was possible to earn the loot boxes through game-play but it took a long time. EA did many things to make gamers happy but still keep transactions but all of the events failed and they removed all microtransactions. Right now you can pick up Battlefront II for $30 Xbox One, $29.99 PS 4, and $23.99 Origin.
