This Is Why Nvidia and AMD GPU Shortage is Ending
GPU Prices have Started to go back to their original price
Both Nvidia and AMD GPUs have been going up for months. Since GPU mining became insanely popular miners started buying crazy amounts of Graphics Cards which made it so that Nvidia and AMD weren’t able to keep up with all the demand. The Nvidia GTX 1070 is one of the best cards for mining. The GTX 1070 reached a high of $734 on Amazon on Feb 10 and recent;y the price has gone down to $449.99. The GPU price had a massive impact on the gaming industry and it was very hard for gamers to get their hands on a new GPU that doesn’t cost $300 more than the original price. In recent months both Nvidia and AMD have been hitting record high sales record thanks to miners buying GPUs very fast.
If you are into PC gaming you probably heard rumors about next-gen Nvidia GPUs that are coming in July. The Nvidia GTX 1180 is expected to have specs somewhere around the Titan XP but it is going to cost around $700 which is far less than the $1200 price tag on the Nvidia Titan XP. According to rumors the GTX 1180 is going to have 3584 Cuda Cores, 16GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. It is expected to come out in July and have a price tag of about $700.
If you didn’t know to be able to make actually profit from mining you will need to buy thousands and thousands of Dollars worth of GPUs. Knowing that a new Graphics Card is going to come out in a maximum of a month and it is going to cost around $700 but it’s going to have specs that are equal to a $1,200 GPU, miners have stopped to buy GPUs as next-gen Nvidia GPUs are probably going to have a good hash rate compared to 1000 Nvidia GPUs.
