Battlefield 1 was a massive success thanks to its unique world war 1 settings and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare‘s failure. When Activision announced Infinite Warfare the game’s trailer got a lot more dislikes then likes and everyone was saying they want boots on the ground. It seems like Battlefield V is 2018’s Infinite Warfare as the trailer has 267k dislikes and 259k likes on YouTube.

Typically Battlefield games are very realistic for a first-person shooter video game but Battlefield V isn’t as realistic as other Battlefield games. Battlefield V’s trailer starts off like any other world war II first-person shooter trailer but the thing that made many gamers mad is the fact that Battlefield V has a woman serving in the war. If you didn’t know during world war II woman did serve in the military but they didn’t go to the frontlines. A lot of players all around the web have been saying that Dice traded political correctness for realism.

DICE’s general manager responded to all the hate with, “Player choice and female playable characters are here to stay. We want Battlefield V to represent all those who were a part of the greatest drama in human history, and give players choice to choose and customize the characters they play with.” For most players, this isn’t a massive issue. The chances of Battlefield V failing because of this “issue” is very unlikely.

Battlefield V is set in World War II but according to Dice, this is World War II that we have never seen before. Fortunately, Battlefield V is not going to get paid DLC. No one is going to miss out because they didn’t pay extra money. Battlefield V is going to be released on October 19th for the PC, Xbox One, and PS 4 but if you get the deluxe edition you will be able to download the game on October 16th, 2018. If you pre-order you will get early access to the Battlefield V open-beta.
