2017 is a big year for remastered games. This year hundreds of games from the older generations were remastered and released on current gen. If you want to play the rest of the Jak and Daxter series you’re in luck because Sony has announced when they are releasing the rest of the Jak and Daxter series to the PS 4.  Sony released  Jak and Daxter The Precursor Legacy on the PS 4 in August, and it runs at 1080p.

Unfortunatly for fans of the series, the remastered versions aren’t going to get a whole remake, and it will not be running at 4K. The only difference between the remastered version and the regular version on the PS 2 is the fact that it will run at 1080p and it’s going to get trophy support. Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X combat racing will be released on December 6th for the PS 4, and they will cost $15 apiece, or you can buy all four as a bundle. Jak and Daxter were released on the PS 4 on December 3, 2001. Naughty Dog developed these games to push 3D platformers to the next level. Jak and Daxter introduced open-world platformers to the world. Although it didn’t become as popular as 3D Mario games, it was the first open worlds platformer. Jak and Daxter also had more story and character development instead of throwing you in a level and giving you an objective like most other platformers it had a real story. According to VGChartz as of October 14th, 2017 Jak and Daxter Precursor Legacy sold 3.64 million copies worldwide. The last game in the series Jak and Daxter Lost Frontier sold 0.62 million copies on the PSP and 0.46 million copies on the PS 2. The last games in the series didn’t sell well and Jak and Daxter Collection didn’t do well either it sold 0.92 million copies.
